Forklift Operator

Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Operator to join our team. This role is hands‑on, physical and requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the flow of daily operations. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift in accordance with company policy and OSHA regulations Load, Unload, move and stack materials and products as directed Verify load contents against documents such as purchase orders, bills of lading, or pick tickets to ensure accuracy Stage materials in designated areas to support efficient workflow and minimize disruption to operations Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as required Identify and report damaged, mislabeled, or incorrectly stored product to a supervisor. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisor Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Valid forklift certification required, or ability to obtain certification upon hire Previous experience working a lumber yard or mill is preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and perform repetitive physical tasks Must be a dependable team player with a proactive work ethic Must be comfortable working outside in any climate throughout the year Benefits Health Insurance, Dental & Vision, Short and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance Paid Vacation and Holidays 401K with company match #J-18808-Ljbffr American Timber and Steel
