Job Description

Job Summary:
The MFM Diagnostic Sonographer performs high-quality ultrasound imaging for maternal-fetal medicine, specializing in fetal development and obstetric assessments. The role involves patient evaluations, image acquisition, and ensuring clinical accuracy within a fast-paced outpatient and acute care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform obstetric and vascular ultrasound examinations, including specialized fetal assessments and arterial ultrasounds.
• Obtain and document clear, accurate diagnostic images and measurements according to protocol.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret findings and ensure diagnostic quality.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, credentialing, and hospital policy standards, including ARDMS certifications and state licensing.
• Adhere to patient safety procedures, including BLS and vascular technologist standards, to deliver optimal care.
• Manage a high caseload, averaging 45 patient visits daily, while providing excellent patient service and education.

Qualifications:

• Hold a two-year allied health or ultrasound-specific educational credential, or a bachelor's degree.
• Be ARDMS credentialed in Abdomen, OBGYN, Peds, or MSK, with multiple specialties preferred.
• Possess a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential and vascular experience, including bypass grafts and stents.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of ultrasound experience in a clinical setting.
• Be eligible for Minnesota licensure, with active license in hand or application submitted.
• Provide BLS certification and meet hospital-specific credentialing requirements.
