HIV NON-MEDICAL CASE MANAGER COORDINATOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS HEALTH SERVICES II, HEALTH SERVICES

Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to provide non-clinical case management services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. This position will also assist with screening and educational activities for individuals who are at risk for HIV and HCV. Grade STD0014 Location of Position MDH, Carroll County Health Department Westminster, MD 21157 Minimum Qualifications Education : Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience : One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources. Notes Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education. Desired Or Preferred Qualifications The desired candidate should possess the following: 1. Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken). 2. Experience demonstrating strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills. 3. Experience maintaining routine and confidential files, logs and program data. 4. Experience organizing and completing work according to assigned schedules. 5. Experience working independently or as part of a group.
