We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled perioperative nurse looking to work in a collaborative and patient-focused healthcare environment.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week
• On-Call: Required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional needs before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
• Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and post-operative care.
• Utilize clinical judgment to identify and report changes in patient condition.
• Support a positive work environment through professional communication and teamwork.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
• Experience circulating in a surgical setting.
• Ability to take call and respond as required.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
