As a Ready Mix Plant Assistant , you'll support the Plant Manager in the day-to-day operation of the facility, help lead employees, coordinate customer orders and dispatch, manage material inventories, and ensure ready mix concrete is produced safely and correctly.

This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your leadership skills while helping keep a busy ready mix operation running safely and efficiently.

What You'll DoSupport Plant Operations

• Serve as backup to the Plant Manager during their absence
• Coordinate customer orders, scheduling, and dispatching
• Record daily material usage and monitor current inventories
• Help ensure adequate supplies are available for production
• Batch ready mix concrete properly
• Ensure concrete is loaded properly
• Maintain the care, cleanliness, and condition of company assets at the facility
• Perform other duties assigned by management

Own Safety

Safety is a major part of this position.

You'll:

• Maintain applicable safety reports and logs
• Promote safe work practices throughout the facility
• Communicate, improve, and adhere to company safety policies
• Help maintain a safe work environment for employees and visitors

What We're Looking ForRequired

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills using Google G Suite and Microsoft Office
• Safety-oriented mindset
• Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and counsel employees
• Willingness to reside within the area of responsibility

Preferred

• Previous supervisory experience
• Ready mix or concrete industry experience
• Experience with customer orders, scheduling, or dispatch
• Spanish-speaking or bilingual
