Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating all OEM equipment PM service work and internal breakdowns to include addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns and ensuring all equipment and machines are in good working order.2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. Monday-Thursday - Friday 1:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.Summary of Essential Job Functions/ResponsibilitiesEnsures operation of the facility and operational equipment by completing preventive maintenance requests, working with OEM on production equipment to include lasers, plasma/flame, press brakes, CNC Mill, fork trucks up to 45,000# capacity.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and working with OEM manufacturer.Ability to perform facility maintenance tasks and working with outside contractorsControls downtime by informing production scheduler of routine preventive maintenance performed by OEM manufacturer and or internal maintenanceFabricates repair parts by internal engineering and company equipmentMaintains spare parts inventory provided by OEMConserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsWorks with equipment OEM manufacturers to troubleshoot and address any sudden breakdownsPrepares mechanical maintenance information to include all work order requests and document in company maintenance softwareMaintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and establishing personal networks for equipment and parts suppliersMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededQualificationsHigh school degree and technical background required, trade/vocational school preferredMinimum 2 years mechanical experience required, agricultural and/or automotive a plusStrong background in electrical systems (including wiring schematics), hydraulics, air brakes and diesel engines as well as transmissions and clutchesGreat communication skills, ability to work well with others and exchange skills and knowledge with other company employeesAble to work without direct supervisionClass A CDL a plusService shop experience preferredAbility to lift heavy mechanical components and work outside in all types of weatherDemonstrated reliable work history and ability to work independentlyAbility to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobilityMust be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasksBenefits401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysHealth insurance – Medical/Prescription Drug/Dental VisionHealth Savings Account (HSA)Wellness StipendPaid Life insurancePaid Short / Long-Term Disability InsuranceAdoption Assistance (Financial)Adoption & Fertility Navigation SupportReferral ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee DiscountTuition reimbursementEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
