We are seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. Prior dermatology clinical medical experience would be very beneficial and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking is necessary.

The practice is very surgically oriented, so the ability to be around cases involving blood is imperative.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and clean exam rooms and escort patients to exam rooms
• Administer injections to prepare patient for biopsy and surgery
• Suture removal, wound dressings
• Scribe for physician using Modernizing Medicine EMA EHR (Electronic Health Record) software during patient visits
• Help maintain patient electronic records by preparing and updating exam and surgical notes
• Stock inventory and assist in maintaining appropriate level of medical supplies
• Maintain patient confidence by keeping patient care information confidential

​ Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a dermatology clinical medical setting would be very beneficial
• Prior experience with EMA electronic health record software is extremely valuable 
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to handle multiple tasks in a quick, confident manner
• Have the ability to be proactive to note what needs to be taken care of and move forward with those duties

We are a privately-owned medical practice with a small, close-knit staff. While small, the clinic is very busy and fast-paced, requiring the candidate to be able to multi-task and think on their feet while interacting with patients in the exam rooms.
While we see some general dermatology cases, we are primarily focused on skin cancer removal.
Our provider is a Mohs micrographic surgery, and he does extensive surgery in office, which can involve exposure to blood, tissue etc.
The ability to handle this type of exposure is required for our medical assistants.
