Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Papillion, Nebraska

This position enables you to broaden your clinical expertise in a mixed acuity setting, caring for patients on both PCU and Med/Surg units, and working closely with seasoned professionals. Schedule:

• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (day, evening, or night)
• Every other weekend required
• Self-scheduling available

Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• 1+ year of PCU or Oncology experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; ONS/ONCC (chemo certification) preferred but not required
• NIHSS certification
• Experience with titratable drips (insulin, cardizem) and strong clinical judgment
• EPIC familiarity a plus
• Commitment to teamwork, respect for diverse backgrounds, and compassionate care
• Successful completion (90%+) of a pass/fail open book exam during orientation

Responsibilities:

• Deliver care to adults with oncology and trauma diagnoses in a 27-28 bed mixed acuity unit
• Float between PCU and Med/Surg as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapy, case management, and social work
• Adhere to facility standards, including strict infection control and appearance (no artificial nails)
• Maintain high standards of patient experience and hourly rounding
