Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
• Design tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure seamless care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to foster progress beyond the therapy room.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, maintaining a continuous care approach throughout the patient journey.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.
• Stay abreast of new developments in the field by engaging in ongoing education and collaborating with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting the job.
