Cardiac Anesthesiologist

The Nashville VA Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and motivated *Cardiac Anesthesiologist* to join our growing Anesthesia Service in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee. This is an exceptional opportunity to care for Veterans while enjoying the stability, benefits, and work-life balance of a federal position. *Position Highlights* * Primary focus on *cardiac anesthesia*, including CABG, valve surgery, TAVR, and other complex cardiac procedures in an academic, team-based environment. * Collaborative practice with surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, and CRNAs to provide high-quality, evidence-based perioperative care. * Participation in preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, postoperative care, and critical care as needed. *Compensation and Benefits* * *Competitive salary:* Commensurate with qualifications and experience (aligned with VA anesthesiologist compensation in Nashville). * Eligibility for *annual performance bonus* and *regular salary increases*, consistent with VA physician pay practices. * Up to *50-55 days of paid time off* per year (annual leave, sick leave, paid federal holidays, and potential paid CME time). * Robust *federal benefits package*, including: * Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) * Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) pension and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) with matching * Malpractice coverage with tail protection * CME opportunities and possible reimbursement, per VA policy.
