Be an integral part of an agile team that's constantly pushing the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver top-notch technology products.As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Connected Commerce/Payments group, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.Job ResponsibilitiesRegularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesDrives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceExperience leading teams of technologists and ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiativesExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightDemonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practicesProficiency in Java/J2EE and REST APIs, Web Services and experience in building event-driven Micro Services and Kafka streaming.Experience in Spring Framework, Spring Boot and AWS Services in public cloud infrastructureSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and SecurityWorking proficiency in developmental toolsets like GIT/Bitbucket, JIRA, MavenExperience working at code level.Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills Finance domain experience with United States Banking & Payments industry, and knowledge and working experience on Card Network Payment and Fraud.Leading experience of Java Micro services application on AWS/Public cloud platform.Experience with Aurora Postgres DBCertifications in Java programming or related technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Spring Certification).
