Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 20, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., and night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Schedule may rotate based on operational needs.
• Unit: Medical-Surgical Telemetry
• Floating: May float to related units and the Emergency Department to care for patients with a similar population and acuity.

Travel Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, or a closely related specialty
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license held in hand at the time of application
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Active ACLS certification
• Active NIHSS certification
• Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring skills
• Ability to complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety competency testing
• Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts and at least every other holiday during the assignment
• Recent professional reference from a nurse manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and cardiac telemetry patients.
• Assess patients, develop and update individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment outcomes.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following current clinical standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge needs.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and communications in the electronic medical record.
• Float to designated areas when needed while maintaining quality care for patients with a similar population and acuity.
