We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations and provide dependable administrative assistance in Columbus, Ohio. This role will help keep billing, payment processing, and recordkeeping accurate and organized while contributing to the smooth flow of office activities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with accounting data, managing multiple priorities, and supporting a construction-focused environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming vendor invoices, confirm details for accuracy, and prepare payments in a timely manner.
• Maintain customer billing and collections activities by issuing invoices, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Support construction-related accounting tasks, including billing coordination and tracking costs by project.
• Enter financial and operational information into QuickBooks and other office systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Reconcile account records and assist in resolving discrepancies related to payables, receivables, and job cost reporting.
• Provide general office and administrative support such as organizing files, preparing documentation, and assisting with routine correspondence.
• Work with internal team members to keep accounting records current and ensure financial information is properly documented.• Experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working in accounting software on a daily basis.
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Background in invoice processing and maintaining organized financial records.
• Familiarity with construction accounting practices, including project billing and job cost tracking.
• Ability to manage administrative responsibilities while balancing multiple deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented approach to work.
