Transit Driver

Transit Driver - Doubles Endorsement Required Location: 852 Voluntown Road, Jewett City CT Must have a passion for driving and desire more home time. You will transport loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit. Night shifts mean you'll be home every day, and there's no touch freight required. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, start time between 6:30‑7:30 p.m. and work until finished Pay: Drivers yearly pay ranges from $90,000 to over $110,000. Component pay: Pay per day and per trip. Minimum of 2 years driving experience with a Class A. Doubles (T) endorsement required. Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs (connecting trailers). Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Successfully pass a drug test (including marijuana) and a background check. Clean driving record; as required by DOT and GFS standards. Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent; effective January 6, 2020.
