Job Details We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Consulting Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our vibrant healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of highly skilled professionals in providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Assist in the assessment and evaluation of patients’ condition and needs. Implement treatment plans and goals as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Assist patients in performing therapeutic activities and exercises. Monitor and document patients' progress and update treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations. Ensure all equipment and supplies are maintained and used safely and effectively. Participate in continuous professional development and stay up‑to‑date with the latest industry trends and best practices. Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current and valid COTA certification. Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Excellent knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to empathize with and motivate patients. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and handle a high volume of cases. Strong commitment to patient care and a passion for helping others. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Current CPR certification.
