Back End Developer

I'm representing a seed-stage AI insider risk detection firm as they look to scale up operations in Seattle, where the technical co-founder is based. This is an exciting opportunity to join the firm as the founding engineer and own system design from the ground up in an industry ripe for disruption. You'll not only shape the technical foundations of the product, but also work alongside two tenured founders and a new VP of Engineering, benefit from meaningful equity, and have a clear path to grow into a team lead role as the engineering team builds out around you. Ideally you'll have worked in a 0-1 environment previously and been a pivotal part of that build, working in ambiguity and being as comfortable making pragmatic design trade-offs as you are mentoring/leading other engineers. Responsibilities will include: Owning system design and implementation of the security product – combining telemetry with GenAI feature extraction and statistical modeling to produce user-level risk scoring and detections Identifying and owning key technical decisions, in collaboration with the team and stakeholders Developing and deploying key backend data pipelines and systems as a hands-on IC Acting as the senior technical point of contact for customer-impacting escalations (outages / bugs), and shaping that process as the team grows Mentoring/guiding more junior team members in software development best practices What you'll need to bring with you: 5 years or more of experience designing and implementing scalable, high-availability systems for enterprise customers, involving scaled data processing Experience with 0-1 teams and comfort working in ambiguity that a seed start-up brings Fluency in Golang (strong Java/Kotlin considered) Experience mentoring and growing junior developers as the team grows Comfort with AI-enabled coding, you won't be expected to hand everything to an LLM, but you should be happy letting one handle the boilerplate and knowing when to override decisions made Significant experience with AWS and/or Kubernetes/K8s Experience with cybersecurity products, particularly threat detection or identity security Previous exposure to endpoint telemetry collection An interest in AI systems and distilling SLMs For more information, apply or reach out directly. #J-18808-Ljbffr Aspiron Search
