Polysomnography Technician Sleep Studies
Join our team as a skilled Polysomnography Technician, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing sleep disorders by conducting overnight sleep studies. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about improving patients' quality of life through accurate diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures and applying monitoring equipment such as EEG, EMG, and EKG sensors.
- Monitor patients during sleep studies, recording data on breathing patterns, oxygen levels, brain activity, and other physiological functions.
- Identify abnormalities in sleep patterns and provide data for physician analysis and diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate records of sleep study results and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Inspect and maintain sleep study equipment to ensure functionality during procedures.
Work Environment:
- The role is based in hospitals or specialized sleep centers equipped with advanced diagnostic technology.
- This position requires working overnight shifts in a calm yet focused environment while monitoring patients closely.
