Educational Interpreter

District Translation/Interpreter SecretaryThe District Translation/Interpreter Secretary will serve as secretary to the District and will provide written and oral translation/interpreter services, which includes but is not limited to responsibility for all correspondence, forms, memos, bulletins, and assisting staff with scheduled meetings/events. Duties will also include ability to design and craft newsletters and other public correspondence as needed; maintain Spanish language forms; and other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Follow and uphold all District policies, rules, and regulations.Required Qualifications:Possess High School Diploma/GED.Bilingual in Spanish and English.Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality.Possess secretarial and office skills, including knowledge and experience with computer software such as EXCEL and WORD.Experience with student information system(s).Able to communicate and relate well with people of all ages; is honest, adaptable, dependable, accurate, discreet and pleasant.Be a customer-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills.Experience with multiline telephones.Capable of planning and organizing workload in order to meet deadlines.Must be dependable.Must be able to multi-task with frequent interruptions.Preferred Qualifications:Associates Degree or equivalent.Successful completion of the Language Testing and Certification Program or equivalent.Specific Details:Monday-Friday / 200 days (includes 10 holidays) at 7 hours per day.
