Maintenance Assistant

Maintenance Assistant
The role involves performing general building maintenance under the supervision of an administrator. Tasks include carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and monitoring heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.
The candidate should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 2–5 years of building maintenance experience or specialized training in skilled trades from an accredited trade or vocational school.
Key qualifications include:
- Knowledge of building maintenance practices and procedures.
- Understanding of local and state building codes for repair and replacement of physical plant systems.
- Familiarity with safety requirements and regulations.
- Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Skills in painting, carpentry, and flooring.
- Ability to operate mechanical equipment.
- Ability to repair minor mechanical issues.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
