Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER I)

Location: Willimantic, CT (Windham Hospital)

Shift: Nights – 36 hours/week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH)

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Respond to a wide range of emergency situations including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health cases
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems
Requirements
  • Active RN license (CT or compact, as applicable)
  • Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
  • Experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and behavioral health patients
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
Certifications (Required)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
  • NIHSS (NI Stroke Scale Certification)
Preferred Certifications
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
