Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER I)

Location: Willimantic, CT (Windham Hospital)

Shift: Nights – 36 hours/week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH)

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Respond to a wide range of emergency situations including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems

Requirements

Active RN license (CT or compact, as applicable)
Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
Experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and behavioral health patients
Epic EMR experience preferred

Certifications (Required)

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
NIHSS (NI Stroke Scale Certification)

Preferred Certifications

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
