Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER I)
Location: Willimantic, CT (Windham Hospital)
Shift: Nights – 36 hours/week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH)
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Respond to a wide range of emergency situations including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT or compact, as applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
- Experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and behavioral health patients
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Certifications (Required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- NIHSS (NI Stroke Scale Certification)
Preferred Certifications
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
