Job Description Job Description Job Purpose Design, develop, and maintain detection and identification algorithms for CSES technologies through multivariate data analysis, chemometrics, predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Key Accountabilities Performs data analytics, specifically data clean-up, data processing, predictive modeling, chemometric statistical modeling and analysis, multivariate data analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and/or data mining, as related to scientific data Plan and execute work related to data pre-processing routines, data clean‑up scripts, predictive analytics, data summarizations, data visualizations and plotting, development and application of machine learning and artificial intelligence models, and development of detection algorithms Develop and maintain operational integrity of computational assets Prepare and maintain documentation related to computer code / scripts, including end user guides and instructions Requirements Minimum Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics or related field, Ph.D. Preferred Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance Proficiency in performing data analytics, specifically chemometrics, predictive analytics, machine learning, multivariate data analysis, predictive analytics, and/or data mining as it related to chemical, biological, biochemical, or other scientific data Working to expert level knowledge of one or more analytical/physical analysis methods including: chromatography, mass spectrometry, optical spectroscopy, proteomics, genomics, or other biochemical analysis methods Software programming/scripting proficiency in R, Python, Java, and/or MATLAB Ability to plan sequence of experiments to answer complicated technical questions Previous research and development experience related to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and/or explosive (CBRNE) threats Experience in developing instrumentation based on vibrational spectroscopy Working knowledge of software development practices such as version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development Working knowledge of statistics, experimental error, and quantification as it applies to scientific data Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences Ability to work independently and to interact effectively with individuals on multi-disciplinary teams Additional Preferred Capabilities Development of detailed optical specifications for spectroscopic instrumentation Development of interface software required to command and control excitation and imaging subsystems Capable of defining, assembling, and testing optical component breadboards for spectroscopic applications #J-18808-Ljbffr 6AM City, LLC
