Senior Controls Engineer

A prominent manufacturing company in the Metro Detroit area is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. This is a direct hire position!Responsibilities include:Complete design of electrical control systems including creation of electrical schematics using AutoCAD for new and retrofit welding and assembly equipmentAssist engineers in specifying ancillary robotic welding equipment including weld guns, torches, cabling, dress out, tool changers, tip dressers, and torch cleaners.Understand, support, and program complete PLC and HMI programs located in equipment on the facility floorThis is full-time, salary role is part of our team and reports to the Engineering Manager.Required experience:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to work with Allen Bradley Microview Software and Faunc ProgrammingMotoman Robotic ProgrammingYou should be proficient in:PLC Troubleshooting SkillsTroubleshooting SkillsIndustrial Robot ProgrammingDesign for Manufacturability (DFM)PLC Programming ExperienceMachines & technologies you'll use:Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)Servo Motors #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
