About TeenWorks Formerly known as Pro 100, TeenWorks was created in 1981 by Indiana philanthropist Gene B. Glick from a simple idea of offering teens a summer job. Today, the organization’s summer program engages teens in Anderson, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Muncie, and South Bend in a sixweek summer work program that provides work-based learning and professional development. The year-round Pro program, which provides additional individualized work experiences, college tours, networking opportunities, and professional development. Alumni Services is available to all teens after high school to support them in their post-secondary path. Position Summary The purpose of the Corporate Gift Officer is to maintain and grow current corporate partnerships across Indianapolis and Anderson. This position reports to the Vice President of Development and Communications. This position is an integral part of the Development Team and will successfully raise funds to empower teens to achieve excellence in community, college, and career. This position will also collaborate with other staff members on activities designed to enhance and support the overall mission of TeenWorks. Responsibilities Manage a strong portfolio of Indianapolis and Anderson corporate donors; meet and exceed annual corporate fundraising goals for those cities. Meet and communicate with donors regularly; strong stewardship and relationship building skills required. Research and develop new corporate and third-party relationships in Anderson and Indianapolis. Manage the Indianapolis Community Impact Committee (CIC), a volunteer advisory council that helps fundraise, advocate, and champion our programs in the community. Engage and manage corporate and individual volunteers for Indianapolis and Anderson. Organize volunteers and corporate partners for Interview Day, Hiring Day, Career Day, and Mock Interview Day, among other events. Assist with event planning, specifically for the Futures Breakfast, with logistics, sponsorships, and gift tracking; act as primary lead for sponsorship in Indianapolis. Serve as staff leader for one event per calendar year. Complete data management as it relates to your portfolio. Work cooperatively as a dedicated member of the development team to meet the overall fundraising annual goal. Success Indicators Highly motivated to meet and exceed fundraising goals. Able to build long-term, valuable relationships with donors and volunteers; understand the donor pipeline and strong stewardship practices. Strong attention to detail and highly organized. Skilled communicator with both donors and colleagues; clearly communicates themission and vision of the organization. Exceptional at time management skills. Able to multi-task and successfully execute complex events and projects. Takes initiative with all tasks and exhibits strong leadership skills. Acts professional in all settings. Ability to problem solve independently to create solutions and move tasks forward. Willing to be creative and “think outside the box.” Comfortable in settings where networking is required. Works well with colleagues across departments; strong interpersonal skills. Passionate about the mission of TeenWorks. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Some non-profit experience is a plus but not required (1-2 years).
