Maintenance Technician

Job TitleStarting pay: $24-28 / hour, depending on experienceDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as a safety champion and promote a safe working environment by following all safety proceduresTroubleshoot, maintain, and physically repair all aspects of material handling systems & conveyors (motor/ reducer issues, belt tracker, belt lacing)Diagnose, using test equipment, electrical, and electronic control systems, and other related equipment, devices, or componentsSafely operate equipment: forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, hand tools, and energy management equipment to perform system support tasks as required.Working knowledge of a work order systemMaintain a positive working relationship across WSI operations facility, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior operations leadersMentor technicians by motivating, providing guidance, and leading training plans to help them achieve their goalsStand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hoursMust be able to work and withstand heights up to 30ft on a frequent basisOvertime may be required with little to no advanced noticeThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position; They are only the major dutiesREQUIRED Education, Skills, and Experience:At least 5+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, & building maintenance.Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skillsAn Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field is highly desiredAdvanced knowledge of the operation and repair of material handling equipmentAdvanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, and hydraulics, and how to use them allGeneral welding certificationExcellent written and verbal communications skillsExcellent problem solving skillsForklift certified or able to obtain certificationMust be able to lift 55 lbs.Outstanding organization, multi-tasking, analytical, problem-solving, and time managementAll employees interested in the above position should apply online through UKG by September 8,2026.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
