Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, cGMP, SOPs, and standard work requirements
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on cleanroom manufacturing equipment
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues
• Execute and support calibration and instrumentation activities
• Perform advanced root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
• Support PLC/VFD troubleshooting (diagnostic level)
• Lead or assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
• Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS (Maximo), including work orders and parts usage
• Ensure maintenance activities meet audit and compliance standards
• Act as a technical resource and mentor to Tech I and Tech II technicians
• Participate in Lean, 5S, and Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree, technical certification, or trade school training preferred OR 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Technical & Professional Expectations

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead complex troubleshooting efforts
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment systems in cleanroom environments
• Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting
• Experience with instrumentation and calibration disciplines (temperature, pressure, flow, humidity, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues

• Operate with a high level of autonomy and accountability
• Support and mentor lower-level technicians
• Drive improvements in equipment uptime, reliability, and maintenance KPIs
• Maintain high standards in safety, compliance, and documentation accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting cleanroom manufacturing equipment
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Working knowledge of calibration practices and instrumentation systems
• Familiarity with PLC/VFD diagnostics and controls systems
• Experience with HVAC, vacuum, or DI water systems (supporting knowledge)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, climbing, reaching, and crawling
• Work performed in cleanroom and industrial environments, including exposure to:
• Electrical systems
• High-pressure equipment
• Chemicals
• Noise and mechanical hazards
