The nurse will serve as the program’s primary healthcare resource—managing daily health needs for campers and staff, maintaining a consistent clinical presence, and operating with a degree of independence well outside the structure of a traditional hospital or clinic. Best suited to RNs who value pediatric-focused work and find purpose in community-based care. Key Responsibilities Provide direct medical care to campers and staff, encompassing first aid, medication administration, and emergency response Keep medical records, daily health logs, and incident documentation accurate, confidential, and current throughout the season Administer health screenings at camper check-in and as clinically warranted throughout the program Communicate health-related concerns to parents and guardians in a clear, professional, and timely manner Work in close partnership with camp leadership to uphold health and safety protocols and manage medical situations as they arise Minimum Requirements Active RN license or valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate license in good standing Current CPR and First Aid certification Ability and willingness to reside on-site for the complete duration of the camp season Team-oriented, with a collaborative and approachable manner suited to a communal residential setting Ideal Qualifications Prior clinical experience in a pediatric, school-based, or residential camp nursing environment Comfortable practicing with autonomy and making independent clinical decisions outside a hospital or clinic context #J-18808-Ljbffr Rio Staffing
