Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the pharmacists, performs order entry, clerical duties, inventory control, medication distribution, floor stock delivery, preparation of IV admixture using sterile technique and maintains records of distribution and assists in nursing inspections, participates in performance improvement and data collections activities. Provides pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Performs other tasks as assigned by the pharmacists.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• California State Pharmacy Technician License is required.

• Effective January 2013, all new hires require high school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in Pharmacy is preferred.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $25.70 to $25.70. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
