ENTOMOLOGIST IV - OAHU (OHHI)

Position Entomologist IV – State Entomologist dealing with flies, snails, beetles, and other significant pests. The role independently performs analysis, evaluation, and solutions of complex entomological problems with statewide implications; may supervise lower level entomologists as assigned; and performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Requirements Legal Authorization to Work: Applicants must be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment. Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university with a major in entomology or a closely related field that included at least twelve (12) semester credit hours in entomology coursework. Specialized Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the field of entomological research, development, prevention, or control which included field and/or laboratory work. Special Requirements: Some positions require the ability to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation.
