Dental Assistant Location: Long Island East (Suffolk County) Compensation: $20 - 25 per hour Patient Mix: PPO / FFS Practice Type: Multi Specialty Schedule: Full Time Benefits Eligibility: Employees regularly scheduled to work 30+ hours per week may be eligible for benefits. About the Role United Dental Corporation is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our growing team in the vibrant Huntington area. We are looking for a dependable, patient-focused professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience. Specific practice placement will be discussed during the interview process based on experience, schedule preferences, and business needs. Candidates may be considered for multiple practices within the region based on business needs, schedule availability, and clinical fit. What You'll Do Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Prepare treatment rooms and instruments Sterilize and maintain clinical equipment Take dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations Support patient flow and provider efficiency Educate patients on post‑operative and oral hygiene instructions Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols Provide an outstanding patient experience from check‑in to check‑out Active Dental Assistant Certification or registration Current CPR/BLS Certification Dental radiology certification (if required by state) Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures Strong communication and patient care skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Preferred EFDA Certification (where applicable) Coronal Polishing Certification Sealant Certification Experience with digital radiography Experience with dental software and electronic health records Experience in PPO, Fee‑for‑Service, and/or Medicaid environments Bilingual skills (if applicable to market) Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for the following: Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) with 4% Employer Match Paid Holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Continuing Education Support Insurance benefits begin the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
