Senior Program Manager

TI Fluid Systems

Alternate Title Senior Program Manager Position Summary Management of regional or international Launch Projects utilizing the Advanced Product Quality Planning Process according to TI Fluid Systems Quality Procedures – supporting strategic company targets and organization objectives. Lead and track project activities including status reporting (internally and externally) to ensure customer satisfaction and achievement of the company expectations for project developments and launches. Responsibilities Lead / support customer RFQ activities from Program Management side, according to APQP requirements (APQP Phase 1). Ensure appropriate customer contract and specification reviews are performed and documented. Lead, control and manage assigned projects including full responsibility for program timing, quality and cost after award until series implementation / launch (APQP Phases 2-5) – with consideration of appropriate project documentation and responsibilities per APQP definition. Ensure project timing and project deliverables (internal and external) are met including cost control and follow up. Ensure use of Advanced Product Quality Planning process by all APQP team members to ensure customer launch and related deliverables are met on time and in accordance with customer specific requirements and launch timing, as well as achievement of TIFS project targets. Project costing and timing control. Control of activities / progress / status of the different functions of the multi‑disciplinary team according to project timing and progress. Ensure timely completion of all deliverables, according to the responsibilities as defined in the TIFS APQP Process. Identification of critical project tasks and initiation of resolution finding or escalation as appropriate. Ensure program documentation in TIFS Program Management System. Identification and planning for component requirements in the project. Supporting specification of subcomponents and project relevant supplier sourcing / coordination / activities. Creation and follow‑up of relevant project documentation (meeting minutes, project timeline, APQP documents, open issue lists, etc. according to relevant guidelines). Planning and support in coordination of pre‑production product deliveries to the customer including relevant documentation. Support planning and execution of tool and production try‑outs. Support in planning for tools and equipment required for any pre‑production and series builds. Follow up with the plant responsible(s) to confirm production capacity prior to launch. Support / follow up on product development activities to meet customer due dates. Coordination and lead of internal and external project meetings. Responsible and accountable for the finance management of launch projects including engineering changes, support on compilation and approval of CAPEX, management of development, tooling and capital spends. Lead and follow up on project target achievement to meet customer payment collections, following the internal financial planning. Ensure PPAP on time. Forecast Capital Expenditures for area of responsibility as input for consolidating short‑term (STF) & mid‑term Plans and support post‑launch financial audits. Manage resolution of both internal and external roadblocks of program issues associated with launch/project activities as required. Responsible for escalating critical issues or project risks to management for support in case topics are not resolvable at lower levels; follow up as appropriate. Act as main customer contact on appropriate level for the project. Management of customer relationship with the appropriate project interfaces. Prepare, control and present program review documents to the management levels and project reviews. Support and lead launch and milestone gate reviews as appropriate. Conduct regular lessons learned reviews across assigned projects and document results. Act as a back‑up for the supervisor, if requested. In case of direct report: Definition and follow‑up of yearly objectives and performance reviews for team members to support achievement of company targets. Resource planning, continuous assessment of team member workload and team workload balancing as appropriate within area of responsibility including assurance of substitutes in case of absence. Adherence to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes and ensure that those are communicated and implemented within the teams. Lead of complex, global or inter‑regional programs, if required. Skill Requirements Leadership: Self‑directed leader with a high degree of self‑motivation, integrity, and trust. Ability to provide help / moderation to Program Managers and APQP Team Members. Ability to form, lead and motivate a strong cross‑functional team and obtain or exceed expected results. Can be counted on to meet or exceed goals. Communication: Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Strong negotiation skills. Able to create confidence when communicating complex issues. Ability to mentor and support other Program Managers. Decision Making and Problem Solving: Advanced ability to analyze inputs and anticipate consequences or impact of decisions on actions. Advanced problem‑solving skills. Conflict Management: Excellent conflict resolution skills, fosters teamwork and collaboration. Business Acumen and Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of launch process, critical path management and recognition of impacting factors. Exceptional knowledge of customer systems and experience with managing customer relationships. Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, product designs / functionality and financial aspects of program launches. Ability to prioritize and manage time while supporting multiple programs simultaneously. Risk Management: Experienced in identifying potential risks, assessment and quantification of risk impact, and development of risk mitigation plans. Ability to coach / support other Program Managers. Experience Requirements Minimum five years’ experience in program management (preferred in Automotive environment). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education.
