About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months of current psych/behavioral health experience required License: Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: - BLS (AHA) required - De-escalation certificate preferred (can obtain during onboarding) Must-Have: - Charge experience required - EPIC experience required - Experience with geriatric patients Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in behavioral health. The nurse will work in a unit that serves patients with psych and behavioral health needs. The nurse may be required to work holidays and weekends as part of the rotation. Call may be required as needed. Candidates should have experience in charge roles within a psych/behavioral health capacity. Experience in de-escalation techniques is preferred. The position entails up to a 1:9 patient ratio. The ideal candidate should possess strong nursing skills and work well under pressure within a team setting. Nurses must provide care that is compassionate and patient-centered. All applicants must meet the requirements outlined above.
