EHS Technician

The EHS Technician assists in the implementation and maintenance of workplace health, safety, and environmental programs. The technician will perform inspections, monitor compliance, support incident investigations, and contribute to a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine safety and environmental inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices.
• Collect samples and perform basic environmental monitoring (air, water, noise, etc.) as required.
• Assist in incident and near-miss investigations, documenting findings and supporting root cause analysis.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, including inspection logs, training records, and regulatory reports.
• Support the delivery of safety training and safety meetings.
• Monitor and maintain inventories of PPE, safety equipment, and emergency supplies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist with emergency response drills and preparedness activities.

Required Education & Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in EHS, safety technician, or environmental monitoring roles.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations.
• Ability to perform fieldwork and inspections with attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with EHS software a plus.
• Ability to follow procedures and work both independently and within a team.
• Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or coursework in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
