About the Position

Hi,

We are actively hiring an experienced CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) for one of our clients, in Atlanta, GA. This role involves assisting surgeons during complex cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures in a high-acuity Acute Care OR environment.

You will work closely with cardiovascular surgeons and surgical teams, playing a critical role in patient care, surgical assistance, and operating room support.

Job Title: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA)
Duration: 26 Weeks with possible extension
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12 Hours (06:30 AM – 07:00 PM)
Location: Atlanta, GA 30309
Pay Range: Weekly ($2,500 – $2,700)

Responsibilities
• Assist surgeons during cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
• Provide first assist support for CABG, valve replacements, VADs, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, and other cardiovascular surgeries
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure surgical safety standards
• Support pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care
• Participate in call rotation, including weekday and weekend coverage as required
• Float to Main OR within scope of practice when needed

Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR First Assist experience
• Active CSFA certification (NBSTSA, NCCSA, or CSFA accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Strong experience in Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic procedures (Required)
• Heart Transplant experience highly preferred
• Epic experience preferred
