They are looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to their team who will create and improve workflows, conduct studies regarding capacity utilization, plan and develop production processes, work instructions, build books, tools, fixtures and equipment necessary to manufacture products. Provides reviews of designs and processes for manufacturability and continuous improvement opportunities.

Job Details

Duties:
1. Plan, develop, analyze, and implement factory layouts, space requirements and material flow to reduce bottlenecks and waste to establish efficient workflows.
2. Develops and maintains production methods and cell set-up, including layout, routers, build books and SOPs, for all products including overhaul & repair.
3. Plans and coordinates efforts toward the acquisition of needed equipment and tooling.
4. Develops and maintains production standards.
5. Assists in the troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical problems and test failures.
6. Reviews engineering drawings for manufacturability. Writes engineering change orders as required.
7. Witnesses and evaluates acceptance tests on units to verify both the performance of the product and the accuracy of the test procedure.
8. Research, design and test new tools, machinery, and automated systems.
9. Reviews designs and processes for continuous improvement opportunities & manufacturability.
10. Builds manufacturing bills of material based on engineering bills of material.
11. Confer with equipment manufacturers and material suppliers for installation, repairs and procurement.
12. Perform Audits in various areas within the company.

Required Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering with 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial engineering role.
Familiarity with CAD (Creo or equivalent) and GD&T drawing standards. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing techniques. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with hands-on requirements. Ability to interact with and instruct a broad spectrum of people, including technicians, machinists, suppliers, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of machining, material properties, etc. as it relates to manufacture of component parts. Familiarity with electronics and electric circuits. Experience with robotics or PLC programming a plus. Experience with aircraft and/or military equipment. Understanding of aerospace standards and requirements. Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems and auditing. Experience in FAA/EASA certifications a plus.
