Practice Support Supervisor – Internal MattersThe Practice Support Supervisor – Internal Matters is an integral part of Latham's Practice Support Services team. This role will be responsible for leading the delivery and continuous improvement of the Internal Matters team, while supervising, coaching, and developing the Practice Support Project Manager – Internal Matters and other assigned team members. This role will be located in either our New York office or our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.Other key responsibilities include:Establishing clear expectations, providing timely feedback, supporting professional development, and promoting consistent service deliveryOverseeing the portfolio of internal matter projects and coordinating daily workflow, staffing, priorities, and coverage to ensure that confidential and time-sensitive work is completed accurately, responsively, and within established deadlinesServing as a senior liaison among Information Governance, the Office of General Counsel, Data Privacy, case teams, the Practice Support Center, and other stakeholders; ensuring that scope, objectives, responsibilities, risks, and decisions are documented and communicatedProviding escalation support and executive-level project oversight for complex or sensitive matters, including investigations, litigation, regulatory responses, data privacy matters, and cross-border projectsReviewing and approving project plans, processing and production specifications, database designs, review workflows, search strategies, analytics approaches, quality-control plans, and data disposition plans before implementation or releaseProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retainsWe'd love to hear from you if you:Demonstrate strong people leadership, coaching, delegation, planning, decision-making, and change-management skillsExhibit expert project management and consulting skills, with the ability to direct multiple concurrent, high-priority matters, and coordinate work across teams and functionsPossess advanced understanding of the legal process, the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, and eDiscovery and disclosure practices in the United States and other relevant jurisdictionsAnd have:A bachelor's degree or equivalent; five (5) years of directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeA minimum of six (6) years of combined paralegal or legal technology and project management experienceBenefits & Additional InformationHealthcare, life and disability insuranceA generous 401k planAt least 11 paid holidays per year, and a PTO program that accrues 23 days during the first year of employment and grows with tenureWell-being programs (e.g. mental health services, mindfulness and resiliency, medical resources, well-being events, and more)Professional development programsEmployee discountsAffinity groups, networks, and coalitions for lawyers and staffLatham & Watkins is an equal opportunity employer.
