Experience:
- At least one year of experience in invasive procedures or two years of relevant healthcare experience.
License:
- RCIS
- RRT
- RDCS
Certifications:
- ACLS preferred
- ARRT preferred
- RESP CARE preferred
Must-Have:
- Invasive procedures experience
- Healthcare experience
- Patient assessment skills
- Diagnostic imaging equipment operation skills
- Multichannel physiologic monitor operation skills
Description:
Documents history and physical assessment for patients undergoing procedures within the catheterization lab.
Explains procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation and understanding and alleviate apprehension.
Prepares patients for procedures by positioning them and using appropriate equipment.
Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system.
Operates multichannel physiologic monitors to measure and record functions of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patients during cardiac catheterization.
Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions.
Communicates with physicians regarding patients' conditions and reactions to drugs, treatments, and other significant incidents.
Assists physicians in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Provides technical assistance as needed.
Complies with departmental and regulatory policies and procedures.
Accepts responsibility for personal growth and development and professional accountability.
