LNA Teaching Assistant – Lyndon Institute Location: Lyndon Center, Vermont Starting Date: Aug 17, 2026 Position Type: Full-time Salary: $25 to $25 per hour Job Categories: Career and Technical Education > Allied Health Job Description Lyndon Institute is seeking a full‑time LNA Teaching Assistant for the 2026/2027 school year. This grant‑funded position reports directly to the LNA Teacher and the Director of CTE. Continued employment depends on the ongoing availability of external grant funds. Key Responsibilities Assist the LNA instructor with clerical tasks: copying, filing, scheduling, record‑keeping, and data entry. Maintain student files, competency checklists, attendance logs, and required documentation. Support communication with families, school staff, and clinical partners. Organize program materials, inventory supplies, and coordinate ordering or tracking of equipment. Prepare and set up the skills lab for daily activities, simulations, and demonstrations. Keep lab spaces clean, organized, and stocked; maintain equipment and report repair needs. Assist with safety protocols and proper handling of equipment and supplies. Supervise students during non‑instructional times (independent practice, testing, transitions, cleanup). Model a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment and reinforce appropriate conduct. Assist students with general support without providing instruction or evaluating skills. Collaborate with the Work‑Based Learning Coordinator to coordinate clinical rotations, forms, schedules, and communication. Track required documentation (immunizations, background checks, CPR certification, etc.). Support students in learning skills needed for state testing. Qualifications Required High school diploma. Current Vermont Licensed Nursing Assistant license. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Ability to work with students in a supportive, professional manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety guidelines. Preferred Experience working with adolescents or in a school setting. Familiarity with CTE or health sciences education programs. Basic computer and administrative skills (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace).
