Senior EDI Developer
We are seeking an experienced Senior EDI Developer with strong expertise in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (v5.2.6+) to design, develop, and support enterprise EDI integrations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building EDI solutions, developing business processes and maps, integrating APIs, and supporting complex B2B communications using various protocols and data formats. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, code reviews, troubleshooting, and collaboration with distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement EDI integrations using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
- Build and maintain business processes, maps, and integration workflows.
- Develop and support EDI transactions using ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, cXML, CSV, JSON, and Flat Files.
- Configure and support communication protocols including AS2, FTP, SFTP, and VAN.
- Develop integrations using Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, and SQL.
- Participate in technical design, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and serve as the technical escalation point.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional and offshore teams.
- Ensure security, scalability, monitoring, and high availability of integration solutions.
Required Skills
- 8–10+ years of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (Sterling Integrator) experience (v5.2.6+).
- Strong EDI development experience with IBM Sterling.
- Experience developing Sterling Business Processes (BPML).
- Strong mapping experience with:
- ANSI X12
- EDIFACT
- XML
- cXML
- CSV
- JSON
- Flat Files
- Experience with communication protocols:
- AS2
- FTP
- SFTP
- VAN
- Strong SQL/DB2 knowledge.
- Experience with XML, XSLT, REST/SOAP Web Services, and APIs.
- Understanding of:
- Encryption & Security
- Authentication & Authorization
- Logging & Monitoring
- Scalability & Clustering
- Traffic Management
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
