A Different Approach to Litigation

An established, highly successful and growing real estate company is seeking a Nevada-licensed Litigation Attorney to join its in-house legal team . This is an opportunity for an experienced civil litigator who enjoys owning their cases, exercising sound independent judgment, and working directly with business professionals—without the billable-hour demands of traditional law firm practice.

The legal department has a flat, collaborative structure, with attorneys across Nevada and California who manage their own matters while consulting with one another on significant issues. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions and move cases forward, the support of an experienced legal team, and direct exposure to the practical business considerations that shape litigation strategy.

The Role

You'll manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from initial pleadings through resolution, including:

• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery and legal briefs.
• Developing case strategy and managing deadlines, discovery and depositions.
• Retaining and working with expert witnesses.
• Negotiating settlements and handling mediations and arbitrations.
• Preparing cases for trial and appearing in court as needed.
• Addressing a variety of matters, including premises liability, ADA claims, personal injury, contract disputes, civil appeals and other real estate-related litigation.
• Communicating directly with company leadership, property managers, employees, outside counsel and other stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Active Nevada Bar license in good standing.
• Approximately 6–12+ years of relevant civil litigation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently, exercise sound judgment and make practical, timely decisions.
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, motions, settlement negotiations and trial preparation, with some trial or arbitration experience preferred.
• Strong legal writing, analytical and organizational skills.
• A practical, business-minded approach and the ability to balance competing priorities.
• A collaborative working style and comfort consulting with colleagues when appropriate, without requiring day-to-day supervision.
