Lead Delivery Drivers make $32.15 /hour and work Monday – Saturday with one other day off during the week. Responsibilities Participate in the Safety Performance Team and ensure that safety is a key focus. Train and mentor new drivers on company policies, procedures, and monitor compliance/performance. Perform customer site visits to determine feasibility of delivery. Partner with Night Warehouse Supervisors on safety and visual aids/demonstrations. Perform post-accident ride‑along with drivers to assist in identifying root cause analysis and re‑training as necessary. Participate in offsite training and developmental opportunities. Must satisfactorily complete all company‑mandated trainings and assessments, including the US Foods Driver Onboarding program. Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times. Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two‑wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas. Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures. Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable. Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance client experience. Qualifications Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry. Preference for ability to operate a manual transmission. Must be able to read and communicate in English, able to hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift. Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift). Benefits Health, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and other benefits. Competitive base salary of $66,000 to $85,000, depending on experience, education, skills, location, and applicable factors.
