Senior Staff Accountant

FEMA Corporation is looking to fill the position of Senior Staff Accountant within their Administrative Services department. Normal work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am through 5:00pm with the flexibility to adjust hours as needed to support projects and year end activities. This position will report to FEMA’s Assistant Controller (Financial). Job Responsibilities Bank reconciliations Cash flow management G/L payroll management and backup for weekly payroll processing Fixed asset management General ledger and journal entry management and reconciliation Cash transaction analysis (A/R) Cost tracking, analysis, and reporting Financial statement reporting and period-end and year-end support Standardize processes and improve on existing ones Provide analytical and problem-solving support Responsible for moderately complex financial analysis by collecting, monitoring, and analyzing data to recommend actions All other duties as assigned Job Requirements Have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 5+ years of relevant industry experience Maintain confidentiality and professionalism Consistently demonstrate strong attention to detail Ability to collaborate internally and externally Exceptional organizational skills Ability to recognize and solve problems utilizing resources Self-motivated and can perform efficiently independently Able to accept direction on given assignments Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Have a valid driver’s license FEMA Corporation is an EOE, including disability/vets. #J-18808-Ljbffr FEMA Corporation
