Pharmacist

Pharmacists at Hannaford Supermarkets play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications. This position involves a range of duties including greeting customers, assisting with prescription preparation, maintaining pharmacy records, and adhering to state and federal regulations. The pharmacist must also maintain a clean and organized work environment, support company safety standards, and foster a positive work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions
• Ensure timely delivery of prescriptions to customers
• Maintain pharmacy records in accordance with legal requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information
• Help customers find over-the-counter items
• Follow attendance and paid time off policies
• Coordinate and assist with scheduling
• Understand and adhere to state and federal laws and regulations
• Assist in maintaining pharmacy inventory
• Maintain knowledge of physical inventory procedures
• Review and understand ACIS reports
• Assist in third-party audits
• Maintain department cleanliness and appearance
• Order and maintain pharmacy department supplies
• Observe and adhere to company policies and standard practices
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance
• Support company safety standards
• Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect
• Foster a positive and enthusiastic work environment
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing
• Current national certification and state license
• Advanced certifications (e.g., immunizer certification)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong keyboard skills and ability to learn new software applications
• Effective time management and sense of urgency
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in a stressful environment

• Open schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Desire and ability to learn all aspects of pharmacy operations

Physical Requirements:

• Stand 100% of the shift with occasional walking
• Use of computer, pharmacy filling equipment, and register 90% of time
• Handle and manipulate pills/capsules and equipment used to count them
• Clerical and mathematical skills including cash register operation
• Frequent/continuous reaching, grasping, lifting, and carrying up to 20 lb.
• Bend at the knees and waist repetitively throughout the workday
• Sufficient visual acuity and audio capability to process prescriptions and service customers

Salary range is between $21.80 - $29.00 hourly.
