Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)

Job Summary

A Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages.This involves operating medical imaging equipment,preparing patients for exams,and producing high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological examinations,explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

• Operate X-ray and other imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

• Position patients correctly for various exams according to established protocols.

• Maintain and clean imaging equipment and rooms.

• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain accurate patient records.

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• State licensure as a Radiology Technologist.

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.

• Minimum of 6 months of radiology technician experience.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

• Proficiency in operating various imaging equipment.

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
