This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Ft. Myers Circuit 20 Offices 204 and 207. The role of a Senior Criminal Justice Information Technician at the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) involves overseeing and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of criminal justice information. This position includes supervising and guiding junior technicians, managing complex data entry and retrieval tasks, and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

JOB DUTIES:

REQUIREMENTS:

Please note, when submitting a college/university degree, if selected for this position official transcripts will be required. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; possession of a high school diploma or equivalent may be credited as one year of the required work experience. Must possess two years of clerical or secretarial work experience. Must have vocational/technical training in the area of data processing or secretarial science, or any college coursework from an accredited institution. This can substitute for the required experience at the rate of 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or 720 classroom hours for each year of the required experience. Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.
