Come see why our associates love working at MasterBrand.Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Brand and Product Director to take ownership of the stock to semi-custom brands within Masterbrand Cabinets. This role is instrumental in shaping and executing an end-to-end strategy to drive growth, innovation, and market leadership for the brand. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic thinking, leadership, product and brand management, preferably in the cabinet manufacturing industry.The leader will be accountable for the full spectrum of marketing functional excellence: strategic marketing, brand strategy, product management, channel marketing, and marketing communications. The role will be responsible for leading, managing and mentoring, in collaboration with all other functional leaders, the development of the strategic plan, the performance, and the action plans to implement the commercial and operational elements of the strategy for the brand. Strong, collaborative partnerships are especially critical to success. The leader will be assessed based on the financial performance and, most importantly, growth of the brand.It is vital that the individual is strategic in their thought process, and able to translate the strategy into action. Successful outcomes will require exceptional communication, internal and external relationship-building and influencing skills, as well as leadership and change management ability.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Strategic Leadership and Brand StrategyDevelop and execute an end-to-end strategy to grow the [premium] brand and solidify its market positionConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threatsIdentify market opportunities and trends to drive innovation and differentiationCollaborate with senior leadership to align the brand’s goals with overall business objectives and MBC portfolio strategyFinancial. Commercial and Operational PerformanceMonitor and manage product costs, margins, financial performancePrepare and present financial analyses and reports on brand performanceMonitor commercial and operational performance and, in conjunction with the commercial and operations teams, identify and support actions driving improvementProduct Management and InnovationProduct expertAccountable for the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with market needs and business objectivesDevelop detailed product specifications, requirements, and roadmapsManage the entire product lifecycle, including updates, enhancements, and end-of-life decisionsStrategic PricingDevelop pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness and profitabilityChannel Marketing and Dealer TrainingResponsible for channel marketing and communicationsEnsure training content aligns with the premium positioning and value proposition of the brandSupport implementation of training programs to enhance brand knowledge for internal teams and customersPromotion and Sales SupportCollaborate with sales leadership to develop and execute promotional strategies and campaignsProvide sales teams with product training, sales tools, and support materialsParticipate in customer visits, trade shows, and industry events to promote products and gather market intelligencePerformance AnalysisMeasure the effectiveness of brand and product strategies using key performance indicators.Use data-driven insights to refine and enhance strategiesTeam leadershipLead and mentor a team supporting marketing efforts, training programs, and graphic design.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and other departments to ensure successful product development and delivery.Facilitate effective communication and coordination across teams to achieve product goals.Resolve issues and remove obstacles to ensure product success.Travel as business needs require, estimated 25-50%.QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is required.5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry with a marketing and/or sales background.Possess or obtain intimate knowledge of industry products, services, distribution, customers & competitors.Background or experience with lean principles and tools is preferred.Extensive experience in brand management and developing brand strategies across multiple channels or businesses.Proven track record of managing complex branding projects with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery within budget.Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority, influencing and motivating others towards a common goal.Excellent communication skills to effectively convey product vision, strategy, and updates to all stakeholders.Strong analytical skills to interpret data and market trends, making informed decisions that drive product success.An ability to synthesize data into a meaningful way to drive prioritization across the organization.Ability to drive down the product line strategies and communicate across varying levels of the organization.Deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering value through the product.Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer feedback, and organizational priorities.Industry and product passion; strong desire to win.Work Environment:This is a remote position or hybrid, with preferred locations near the manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should be capable of working efficiently and independently from their home office to fulfill assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
