Let's drive excellence together!Responsibilities:Review contracts to identify and interpret complex financial obligationsEnsure compliance to contract terms and commitments including, commissions, volume allowances, profit splits etc.Prepare monthly journal entries, payments, and reconciliations for such contractual obligationsEnsure accounting conforms to the Group Accounting Policies and Procedures manual based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Ensure monthly profit and loss statements are an accurate reflection of the results of the periodPrevent earnings management through appropriate use and validation of journal entriesPartner with internal departments such as Corporate Accounting, Legal, Technical Accounting & Audit, STG, etc., as well as Field Finance and Operations managementEnsure balance sheet accounts reflect the correct balance and are reviewed and reconciled monthlyAnalyze profit and loss statement and balance sheet for possible mis-statement/defalcation Use all available tools to maintain highest degree of internal control possibleDrive, create, and implement new processes and strive to identify and implement process improvements for existing proceduresCreate and maintain checklists to ensure compliance with contractual termsBe a leader in the department, assist peers, and act as a mentor to new or existing Field Accounting associatesQualifications:Four-year degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum three years full general ledger or contractual accounting experienceAbility to work under pressure of tight deadlinesMust be a quick learner and self-motivated, as well as resilientExperience with contract interpretation is a plusProficient knowledge of Excel, SAP a plusExperience with Hyperion/Essbase a plusRelationship builder that is able to effectively communicate, written and verbally, with all levels of associates across the organizationCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
