Registered Nurse - Women's Health Location: Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nevada Job Description Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Registered Nurse - Women's Health (OB/GYN) at Nellis Air Force Base, in Las Vegas Nevada. This contract position offers: Position Highlights Employee status and access to a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401(k), PTO and Sick time Schedule - 40 hours weekly Fully insured patient population Duty hours: Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts between 0730am–1700pm with 1 hour lunch No on-call Opportunity to care for Active Duty, Retirees and their families 11 paid federal holidays Education and Experience Must be a US citizen, or lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work in the US Hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red Cross Completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university (ACEN or CCNE) Minimum of two years of labor and delivery or Women’s Health Clinic experience preferred General Knowledge Knowledgeable on professional care theories, principles, practices, standards and procedures to provide comprehensive primary care to a select population of essentially healthy women and/or their babies in a variety of settings to include obstetrical antepartum or intrapartum management, postpartum care, gynecologic care and immediate newborn care. Knowledgeable on growth, development, and pathophysiology of disease processes specific to the obstetrical and gynecological population from neonate to geriatrics. Knowledge of the administrative requirements for proper documentation of patient condition including disease progress, teaching acknowledgement, and follow up care. Knowledgeable of a wide range of medical disorders to include sickle cell anemia, diabetes, STDs, thyroid disorders, hypertension, cardiac disease and their impact on perinatal outcomes, as well as broad knowledge of normal delivery variations, complications and indicated therapeutic intervention.
