Assures accuracy of scheduled appointments and monitors proper outpatient preparation. Consults with Director/Manager, Lead RN, Radiologist, and Modality Leaders regarding schedule conflicts, concerns, or requests outside of established policy. Flags special needs and seeks input from Modality Leaders regarding scheduling constraints and equipment preferences. Communicates with designated departments for add-on cases and prepares reservations within established timeframes. Provides front-desk support to minimize wait times and resolve customer service issues. Performs records release of Radiology films and reports to patients or other medical facilities, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Works with AGFA, EMR, PowerScribe, Cypress, and PowerShare to resolve issues. Monitors PACS worklist to facilitate physician-to-physician calls. Tracks department statistics to monitor accountability goals for each modality. Escalates unresolved challenges to next-level leadership and ensures prompt resolution. Presents written and verbal directions to employees to ensure they are informed about performance and job requirements. Other duties as assigned.
