Department: Nutrition & Hospitality Management Job Summary: The Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management at theUniversity of Mississippi invites applications for a Nutrition andHospitality Program Coordinator. This position providescomprehensive administrative, academic, fiscal, and operationalsupport across the department, serving as a primary administrativebackbone for NHM’s accredited academic programs, graduate programs,and Lenoir Dining facility operations. Working closely with theDepartment Chair, Graduate Program Coordinators, UndergraduateProgram Directors, and faculty, the Coordinator advances studentsuccess, program quality, and accreditation excellence whileensuring seamless departmental workflows. Key responsibilities include coordinating graduate andundergraduate program administration, supporting accreditationcompliance and student success initiatives, and serving as a keyliaison between students, faculty, staff, and external partners.Additionally, this role oversees departmental procurement andfiscal operations, including managing the departmental P-card,processing budgets and purchase requisitions, maintaining physicalinventory, and sourcing equipment, maintenance supplies, andclassroom materials for Lenoir Dining in accordance with universitypolicies. The Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management at theUniversity of Mississippi invites applications for an Nutrition andHospitality Program Coordinator. This position serves as theprimary administrative and operational support for NHM's accreditedacademic programs, graduate programs support, and Lenoir Diningsupport. The coordinator works closely with the department chair,graduate program coordinators, undergraduate program directors, anddepartment faculty to advance student success, program quality, andaccreditation excellence. Job Description: Coordinates on- and off-campus recruitment activities forundergraduate and graduate programs, including outreach events andprospective student communications. Serves as a point of contact for prospective graduate students,providing program information and guiding applicants through theinquiry and admissions process. Manages operational procurement for Lenoir Dining, includingequipment purchases, maintenance supplies, classroom materials, andnon-food inventory, in compliance with university purchasingpolicies. Day-to-day food purchasing is managed by instructionalpersonnel associated with Lenoir Dining. Manages physical inventory tracking and supply management forLenoir Dining, maintaining accurate records of equipment andmaterials. Monitors Lenoir Dining budget activity, processes requisitionsand purchase orders, and coordinates with vendors and diningservices partners to support day-to-day operational needs. Manages the departmental procurement card (P-card for Lenoirdining, including making authorized purchases for equipment,maintenance, classroom supplies, and other operational needs;reconciling transactions; maintaining receipts and documentation;and ensuring compliance with university P-card policies and auditrequirements. Serves as the departmental point person for the departmentalassurance of learning, supporting assessment data collection,Courseleaf curriculum management, and accreditation documentationfor ACPHA- and ACEND-accredited programs. Assists with curriculum management through Courseleaf,including course updates, catalog revisions, and curriculumapproval processes in coordination with faculty and programdirectors. Supports accreditation efforts for department programs,including organizing documentation, coordinating self-study datacollection, and assisting with site visit preparation foraccrediting bodies such as ACPHA and ACEND. Works with Graduate Program Coordinators (GPC) and programdirectors in hospitality management, the Didactic Program inDietetics (DPD), and the Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CP) tomanage graduate admissions workflows, including applicationprocessing, applicant communications, coordination with theGraduate School, and management of student holds and enrollmentexceptions. Maintains and updates graduate and undergraduate programcatalogs and curriculum documentation in coordination with programdirectors and GPCs, including catalog revisions and administrativeapproval processes. Manages inbound international travel requests and study abroadapprovals for students, ensuring compliance with universitypolicies and coordinating with relevant university offices. Provides administrative support to the department chair,including assistance with faculty and staff searches, committeecoordination, and departmental reporting as assigned. Maintains accurate student and program records to supportaccreditation, and continuous improvement efforts. Supports faculty with administrative needs and assists withdepartmental events and initiatives as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Work with Graduate Program Coordinators (GPC) and programdirectors to manage graduate admissions workflows, applicantcommunications, Graduate School coordination, student holds,catalog updates, and other graduate and undergraduate academicadministrative processes. Manage the departmental P-card and operational procurement forLenoir Dining, including purchasing of equipment, maintenancesupplies, and classroom materials; budget processing andrequisitions, and physical inventory, all in compliance withuniversity purchasing and P-card policies. Manage inbound international travel requests and study abroadapprovals for students in compliance with university policies andprocedures. Maintain student and program records and ensure compliance withdepartmental and university policies. Support faculty and department leadership with administrativetasks and departmental initiatives as assigned.
