About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering to serve as the senior technical leader for its growing portfolio of complex distributed energy projects. This remote, US-based role is pivotal in owning the engineering strategy, standards, execution, and team leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a team of project engineers and engineering contractors, setting engineering standards and processes for high-voltage, medium-voltage, and low-voltage distributed energy projects, and ensuring that all technical deliverables are in line with the company's requirements. The role also involves close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong technical alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Applicants for the Head of Engineering position at the company should have a B.S. in engineering, with an M.S. or PE strongly preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive engineering experience in large-scale distributed energy, power generation, or utility-scale renewables. A deep technical understanding of electrical infrastructure, interconnection, permitting, and regulatory requirements across multiple markets is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering solar, battery storage, and microgrid projects from design to operation, and possess strong communication skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Exposure to adjacent technologies such as EV charging, fuel cells, wind, and cogeneration is a plus. The role is suited for a senior engineering leader who is passionate about building scalable engineering systems for complex distributed energy projects and is ready to take on the challenge of driving continuous improvement in engineering workflows and long-term asset reliability.
